Please ensure all managers get a copy of the relevant rearranged game/s.

All rearranged games must be played on or before the new date. The list shows the new date with the old date in brackets behind it. If a rearranged game has actually been played forward the result of the match as soon as possible to the Publicity/Fixtures Secretary. If a postponed game is not on the list forward details of the game as soon as possible to the Publicity/Fixtures Secretary for rearrangement.

Club Christmas Closure

DHUFC suspends all its activities over Christmas. All pitches are closed, and both BSG and Springfields are not to be used for any activity from Monday 17th December - Friday 4th January inclusive.

The Club returns to training on Saturday 5th January.

MWYML: League Cup (Round Two)

Any player who has transferred to DHUFC but played in a previous round for their former club may not play in the cup for your team.

Remember the rules for penalty shoot outs.

Postponing a cup game without a valid reason, as per rule book, will result in a walkover for your opponents.

If your cup game is postponed legitimately then only the players available on the due date are eligible for the re-dated game.

Any re-dated cup game must be played the following week as this takes precedence over a league game, however, if the new date falls on a county cup date then that would take precedence.

If there is anything at all you are not sure about with reference to the rules regarding cup competitions please consult your league handbook, the Wilts FA handbook, the FA handbook, the international FIFA rules, or failing that contact me or another committee member.

Falling foul of the rules can lead to teams being eliminated, this causes great upset to the children involved when ignorance of the rules is usually to blame.

Spring Tours

Early I know, but now is the time to be canvassing for interest, planning and booking a Spring football tour.

Not something everyone wants to do I know, and indeed, there is no pressure for any group to do such an activity. However if you do want to explore this as an option for your squad then please get in touch over the next two weeks and we can talk you through our experience of last season when we took the Flames on a 5 day tour to Mullion Cove, Cornwall.

The Club is pleased to offer touring teams funding of up to £100 (this usually covers the football fees levied by the tour companies). Prices vary to suit most pockets (from £80+ pp), a wide range of destinations, dates and durations are also available.

We had a great time last season and can highly recommend the experience to any group that was interested in going.

MWYML: Wearing of Jewellery

Some players are taking to the field wearing earrings. The wearing of jewellery is not allowed under Football Association rules. A number of cases have been pointed out in the mini soccer age groups, some as young as under 7!

All managers, coaches and referees should be aware of the FA’s ruling on this issue.

MWYML Registration Cards

It has been reported to the League that some managers are refusing to show their League Players Registration Identification prior to their game.

Failure or refusal to show the identification forms is against the rules and any club proven not to have shown their cards will be dealt with by the
management committee.

May I remind you that the maximum penalty for playing an ineligible player is £50.00 per player.

The MWYML publishes upto date team and League news on it's website. It is you suggested you visit once a week just to check if any of the messages impact your group. League Announcements can be found on the Chippenham News MWYML Website.

Match Guidelines and Reporting (MWYML)

Following a recent Management Committee meeting a number of issues were raised:-

All games must be played on the day and time specified in the current hand book unless all concerned parties agree to move the fixture to another day/time. If agreement cannot be made the game must be played when stipulated in the hand book.

After completion of each game the home team must submit a ‘Club Marking of Referees Sheet’ and a ‘Standard Referees Result Card’ along with the team/match sheet to the relevant Results/Registrations Secretary.

The Away team must submit a ‘Club Marking of Referees Sheet’ together with the team/match sheet to the relevant Results/Registrations Secretary.

When submitting anything by post to any of the officers of the league please ensure there is enough postage on the envelope.

The home team are required to inform the Publicity Secretary of the result (as per rules).
